Doctor's Technician (PEG NC)

Job Summary
Provide outstanding patient/customer service in an optometry retail setting and support PEG clinical operations. Under PEG supervision, assist with clinical duties such as Diagnostic Pre-Testing, Digital Refraction, and Contact Lens care, ensuring smooth transition from clinical services to retail. Greet patients, gather information, schedule and confirm appointments, resolve patient inquiries and complaints, and maintain confidential records in compliance with HIPAA. Collaborate with PEG physicians and store teammates to achieve clinical metrics and store goals while delivering an excellent overall patient experience. Strong communication, multitasking, and a proactive problem-solving approach are required; experience in customer service and curiosity about technology are valued.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of customer service experience with patients or customers
- effective communication with diverse groups
- ability to multitask and adapt to changing business needs in a team environment
- schedule flexibility and willingness to work based on business needs
- interest in working with technology and eye-care/optical products
- optical experience is a plus
