Doctor's Technician

Job Summary

Greet patients and customers upon entry, identify needs, and facilitate sales while answering inquiries. Schedule and confirm appointments, enter patient history, and complete pre-tests including tonometry, auto-refraction, and visual acuity assessments. Foster partnerships between retail and clinical teams, resolve patient complaints, and ensure brand standards in the lab area. Execute simple repairs, assemble lenses, and track delivery commitments to maintain 100% compliance. Report equipment malfunctions and incomplete orders to management.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or advanced certification beyond a high school diploma; or currently enrolled in a comparable program
  • 2+ years of experience delivering outstanding customer service to patients and/or customers
  • Skills necessary to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people
  • Ability to implement active listening, build rapport, and empathize with patients
  • Proactive problem solving skills to address potential patients' concerns or rebuttals
  • Collaborative spirit while building respectful and cordial relationships with team and patients
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment
  • Passion for customer satisfaction and ability to maintain a positive demeanor
