Required Qualifications

• •High School Diploma or GED required
• •Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• •Favorable result on background check as required by state
• •Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
• •Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
• •Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands
• •Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—is required 100% of the time
• •Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• •Must be able to lift 25 lbs

• •Must be able to practice urgency at all times placing value on a patient's time, as well as the doctor's time and schedule
• •Must be able to facilitate patient flow
• •Must be able to assist the doctor in preliminary testing
• •Must be able to verify medical and vision insurances
• •Must be able to effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers
• •Must be able to answer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person requests
• •Must be able to operate manual lensometer, auto-lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT
• •Must be able to follow scripting for testing equipment (photos, visual fields, visual activity, etc.)
• •Must be able to clean all examination equipment including tonometer tip
• •Must be able to handle a wide range of duties while using optical equipment to perform the initial testing needed to prepare a patient for an exam with an Optometrist
• •Must be able to embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support
• •Must be able to work Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 7am-2pm and Saturday 8am-1pm
• •Must be able to work weekends
• •Must be able to work schedule changes
• •Must be able to work an extended schedule
• •Must be able to travel to other locations

Desired Qualifications

• •Previous medical office experience preferred
• •Previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred
• •Excitement to learn and grow
• •Strong customer service skills
