Job Summary
Evaluate patients by combining medical history, diagnostic tests, and hands-on observation to create accurate assessments. Design and implement personalized rehabilitation plans using manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation to improve strength and mobility. Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve meaningful improvements. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure holistic care, and educate patients and families on home-based exercises to sustain gains. Maintain organized records of patient progress and treatment adjustments, and oversee PTAs or aides to ensure care aligns with established goals. Requires a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and state licensure in Michigan; NPTE passing is required.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Passing the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) and obtaining state licensure to practice in Michigan
- Strong background in physical therapy with knowledge of therapeutic techniques and patient management
