Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive eye exams and generate prescriptions for eyeglasses or contact lenses using patented remote video conference technology. Analyze patient eye health with support from Ophthalmic Technicians while working as an independent contractor from a remote location. Communicate verbally and visually with patients to deliver services in states where you hold a valid license. We provide competitive compensation and handle all necessary credentialing and training. This role supports added flexibility for licensed optometrists seeking a supplemental income stream without leaving home.
Required Qualifications
- West Virginia state licensed Optometrist
- Licensed Doctor of Optometry
- Independent Contractor status with DigitalOptometrics
- Ability to examine patients in the state(s) where you are licensed
- Ability to communicate with patients verbally and visually with specialized video conference technology
- Ability to analyze eye health and generate prescriptions for Eyeglasses or Contact Lenses
