Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive eye exams and generate eyeglass or contact lens prescriptions using patented remote video conference technology. Communicate verbally and visually with patients while analyzing eye health with Ophthalmic Technician support. Partner from a remote location as an Independent Contractor with DigitalOptometrics, providing a supplemental income source without leaving home. The role requires a New York state license for Friday coverage, with credentialing and training provided. This position supports expanded patient scheduling options through Tele-Optometry's remote platform.
Required Qualifications
- New York state licensed Optometrist
- Licensed Doctor of Optometry
- Independent Contractor status with DigitalOptometrics
- Ability to examine patients in the state(s) where you are licensed
- Ability to communicate with patients verbally and visually with specialized video conference technology
- Ability to analyze eye health and generate prescriptions for Eyeglasses or Contact Lenses
- Friday coverage availability
