Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive eye exams and analyze patient eye health using patented remote video conference technology. Generate prescriptions for eyeglasses or contact lenses while partnering with on-site Ophthalmic Technicians from a remote location. Communicate with patients verbally and visually through specialized video conferencing tools. This role serves as a primary or supplemental income source for Florida state-licensed Optometrists working as independent contractors. DigitalOptometrics provides full credentialing and training support to facilitate this remote practice model.
Required Qualifications
- Florida state licensed Optometrist
- Doctor of Optometry
- Independent Contractor status with DigitalOptometrics
- Ability to examine patients in the state(s) where you are licensed
- Ability to communicate with patients verbally and visually with specialized video conference technology
- Ability to analyze eye health and generate prescriptions for Eyeglasses or Contact Lenses
- Ability to partner from a remote location
