Dockworker/Forklift Operator

Job Summary
Operate a forklift to load and unload cargo from trucks, moving, stacking, and organizing pallets in the warehouse or dock area. Verify and record cargo quantity and condition, attach required labels, and inspect the equipment while reporting malfunctions to the supervisor. Follow safety rules and regulations, wear protective equipment, and assist with manual labor tasks as needed. Valid forklift certification or prior experience is required, along with the ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays. Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid forklift certification or prior forklift experience
- Ability to coordinate and complete multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to accurately record relevant freight information on bill of lading or other documents
- Basic math and reading skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work in different shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Knowledge of safety rules and regulations for operating a forklift and handling cargo
