Dockworker | Forklift Operator

Load and unload freight in a cross-dock environment using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks while manually stacking and unstacking shipments. Utilize proper loading techniques with logistic bars, straps, and airbags, and operate company IT equipment to ensure accurate freight movement. Dimension and re-weigh cargo to maintain compliance, inspect freight for damage upon arrival and departure, and document discrepancies via appropriate channels. Read shipping labels, manifests, and freight bills to verify shipments. Perform proper inspections of company equipment and exhibit professional conduct with customers and team members. This role operates in various environments including indoor docks, enclosed vehicles, and outdoor areas, with shifts running Monday through Sunday subject to operational needs.
