Job Summary
Dockworker role focusing on forklift operation in a temperature-controlled warehousing environment. Responsibilities include inspecting forklift before use, loading/unloading materials onto/off trucks or storage areas, maintaining inventory records, reporting discrepancies, keeping the work area clean and organized, and communicating any forklift malfunctions. Requires at least 3 months forklift experience or experience with warehouse equipment, a high school diploma/GED, the ability to pass internal Forklift Certification Training, and the ability to perform duties in dusty, hot, or cold conditions. Physical duties include standing, frequent lifting, and potential lifting up to 65 lbs; teamwork indicated for heavier lifts. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness are essential.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 months forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to successfully pass internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate safety procedures
- Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions
