Create blocking plans for intact or damaged vessels using hired divers and interpret drawings to order materials and write reports. Ensure all vessels in custody are berthed and secured under changing weather conditions while maintaining syncrolift railways and associated equipment in good repair. Lead crews to obtain top quality workmanship and efficiency, operating drydock equipment, cradle jacks, forklifts, and winches to moor vessels and perform rigging duties. Build keel and bilge blocks, cradles, and shoring for supporting ships in dry dock, marine railways, or building docks using woodworking hand and power tools. Adhere to safety policy and wear personal protective equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, and steel toe boots.
