Job Summary
Docketing Specialist responsible for entering, maintaining, and monitoring court, agency, arbitration, and administrative deadlines using Milana; analyze filings to calendar deadlines; maintain litigation calendars with reminders and reports; review matters to identify docketing requirements; audit docket entries for accuracy and compliance with jurisdictional rules; research federal, state, local, agency, and arbitration rules; stay current on rule changes; train users on Milana and docketing protocols; generate docket reports and notifications; assist with subpoena/deposition tracking, hearing schedules, trial dates, mediations, and arbitrations; participate in special projects related to litigation support and calendaring systems; collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure adherence to firm docketing protocols and best practices;
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of docketing experience
- In-depth understanding of civil litigation procedures, court rules (federal and state), and deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in multi-office environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Familiarity with electronic filing systems (e.g., CM/ECF, PACER) a plus
