Job Summary
Dock Worker (Part Time) duties include loading/unloading freight with forklift/pallet jack or by hand, strapping and padding freight to prevent damage, and accurately recording freight condition as it arrives at the service center. Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment. Maintain regular attendance and be able to work all shifts including overtime and weekends. Must be able to lift ~70 lbs and interact well with others; able to read and follow safety rules and procedures; authorized to work in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Must be 17+ years of age
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Experience in transportation industry preferred
- Forklift operation experience or certification preferred
- Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs
- Must be able to push/pull loaded pallet jack or hand truck with minimum 70 lbs
- Must be able to work all shifts, overtime and weekends
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals
- Must interact well with others
- Able to work independently or in a team
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
