Dock Worker/Forklift Operator - Part Time

Job Summary
Dock Worker/Forklift Operator (Part Time) loads/unloads freight on trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual methods, secures freight with straps and airbags, and ensures correct items are placed on trucks. Uses dock yard management system to monitor locations, reads shipping labels, completes freight movement forms, and performs various loading techniques (including tight and cross loading) while adhering to DOT guidelines. Must be able to physically perform duties, operate a forklift, and work a PM shift as part of the OD Family, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and timely deliveries.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- Working knowledge of safe and efficient lifting and transporting procedures
- Knowledge of loading techniques such as loading tight and cross loading
- Familiarity with forms used in freight movement (shipping orders, manifests, freight bills, exception forms)
- Ability to operate a dock yard management system
- Available to work all required shifts to meet customer pickup/delivery schedules
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Must be able to pass physical requirements and perform duties in a fast-paced environment
