Dock Worker/Forklift Operator

Dock Worker responsibilities include efficiently loading and unloading freight from trailers using a motorized forklift, pallet jack, or manual methods in compliance with DOT guidelines; securely securing cargo with straps, airbags, and related materials; and maintaining quality loading to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries. The role requires familiarity with dock yard management systems, ability to read shipping labels and forms (shipping orders, manifests, freight bills, exception forms), and the capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 100 lbs, standing for long periods, and operating equipment safely. A high school diploma or equivalent and knowledge of safe lifting and freight procedures are required, with emphasis on teamwork, safety, and adapting to a fast-paced warehouse environment at multiple service centers.
