Job Summary
Dock Worker responsibilities include loading/unloading freight with forklift, pallet jack, or by hand; securing and padding freight to prevent damage; recording freight conditions upon arrival; performing pre- and post-shift inspections of dock equipment; maintaining regular attendance; and performing other duties as assigned. Must be physically able to lift ~70 lbs, work all shifts including overtime, and comply with safety rules and company policies. Requires teamwork and the ability to work independently, with strong reading/comprehension of safety instructions and procedures. Must pass drug screening and background checks and be authorized to work in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Must be 17+ years of age
- Experience in the transportation industry preferred
- Forklift operation experience or certification preferred
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
- Able to work all shifts including overtime and weekends
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Authorized to work in the United States
