Job Summary
Monitor and evaluate employee safety, loading/unloading processes, and housekeeping throughout the shift. Manage dock employees, assign work schedules, and conduct daily inspections for OSHA and DOT compliance. Operate AS400, BLU, and DYMS systems to track freight movement while completing shipping orders and exception forms. Provide constructive feedback on productivity metrics and handle disciplinary actions as needed. Work assigned afternoon shifts Monday through Friday, with availability to adjust based on customer pickup and delivery schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent
- 2 years working operations experience preferably in the transportation industry
- Supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of AS400, Microsoft Office, DYMS and BLU systems
- Knowledge of general DOT regulations
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work assigned shift/s as needed
- Must be available to work depending upon customer pick-up and delivery scheduled
Desired Qualifications
- Some college preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
