Job Summary
Meet with the vessel person-in-charge and communicate with facility personnel to coordinate safe and efficient product transfers. Maintain detailed dock logs chronologically, operate crane and hydraulic equipment, and gauge barges while retrieving product samples. Understand facility piping layouts to transfer the correct oil and chemicals between barges and ships. Complete any other assigned duties to ensure job completion. This role requires 24-hour phone access for a 6-on/3-off on-call schedule. PSC Group is a leader in product handling and site logistics for refineries, chemical producers, and marine transportation providers.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- legally able to work in the U.S.
- Able to work a on-call schedule, with 24-hour phone access
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
- Speak, write, read fluent English
- May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
Desired Qualifications
- Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
- Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus
