Job Summary
Meet with the vessel person-in-charge, maintain detailed dock logs, and operate crane, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical equipment, and manual/motor operated valves. Gauge barge samples and retrieve product from vessels while understanding facility piping layouts to transfer the proper product. Complete any other assigned duties to ensure safe transfer of oil products and chemicals to and from barges or ships. This 12-hour rotating shift includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
- Speak, write, read fluent English
- Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
- valid Driver's License
- valid TWIC card
