Job Summary
Provide daily guidance, motivation, and direction to Dock Workers and Agency Associates to achieve operational goals for the terminal. Escalate issues such as poor performance, inappropriate behavior, and absenteeism to the Operations Manager for prompt resolution. Ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and customer safety protocols and requirements. Work with the Operations Manager to track and analyze monthly performance statistics for the dock. This full-time role in Portland, OR, requires a minimum of three years in transportation or warehouse operations with proven leadership experience. Candidates must demonstrate strong computer proficiency and knowledge of industry-related equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in transportation or warehouse operations
- Proven leadership experience in transportation or related industry
- Advanced verbal communication skills
- Strong computer proficiency: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, web-based applications, RF scanners
- Knowledge of industry-related equipment, including forklifts, lift jacks, trailers, etc.
- Must provide professional references
- Must complete a criminal background check prior to employment
