Job Summary
Organize materials, schedule trucking, and release products from cold storage facilities to meet production needs. Verify invoices, resolve discrepancies, and check orders for errors to prevent demurrage time. Schedule pickup appointments with freight carriers, release outbound freight, and prepare accurate shipping labels and bills of lading. Unload inbound goods, verify bill of lading against purchase orders, and transfer products to the Americold warehouse while filling out proper documentation. Communicate process improvements to the Warehouse Supervisor and ensure all shipments meet customer expectations with appropriate materials. Requires high school diploma, one year of related experience, forklift certification, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-year+ related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and shipping instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to perform basic math problems
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Prior experience with SAP or another inventory/sales software
- Prior experience with the following equipment (or able to achieve certification immediately upon hire) Forklift Electric pallet jack Golf Cart
