Job Summary
Respond to breakdown service calls and perform scheduled routine maintenance on customer dock and door equipment, troubleshooting repairs at the customer's location. Conduct thorough inspections to identify needed repairs, use proper test equipment, and coordinate with the parts department. Accurately complete work orders and time cards while maintaining a stocked service vehicle and complying with safety policies. Complete required manufacturer training and maintain a good driving record. Based in the southern Troy area with 95% of calls within a 50-mile radius.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Technical degree or experience in operating, working on commercial docks, doors, or comparable equipment
- Welding and fabricating skills
- Able to read/understand blueprints, electrical, and hydraulic schematics
- Must maintain a good driving record
