Job Summary
Maintain operational readiness and deliver timely, respectful, accurate service to the public by interpreting North Carolina laws, Division policies, and regulations during driver license transactions. Anticipate customer needs, address concerns before they escalate, and provide clear guidance to help individuals navigate the licensing process while upholding high service standards. Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure consistency across regions and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and streamline office operations. Maintain professionalism in all interactions and participate in cross-training to improve office flexibility. Report for orientation at DMV Headquarters in Rocky Mount, NC, with hotel accommodation provided.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid N.C. Driver License with no suspensions or revocations within the past 10 years in any state for any motor vehicle-related offense and no more than 5 active points
- Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution
- Equivalent combination of training and experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience explaining policy, procedure and/or laws to educate customers or the public
- Customer service experience (friendly, enthusiastic attitude who enjoys serving customers) with a diverse clientele
- Knowledge of basic computer software that includes database programs, Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly adapt to internal systems
- Work experience typing using a computer keyboard
