DME Outpatient Liaison

Job Summary
Outpatient Liaison handles intake inquiries from physician offices and intakes all pertinent customer order information including documentation required to meet coverage criteria. Responds to questions posed by provider offices and other outpatient referral sources related to home equipment/supply needs, acting as a liaison between MSC, patient/caregiver and the referral source. Maintains open communication with patients/clients and referral sources, responding to all questions and concerns. Markets our services to the provider offices and other potential referral sources within the community. Maintains open communications with all referral sources and documents with whom and with what frequency. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Two years (minimum) of HME customer service experience (strongly preferred)
- Knowledge and understanding of intake implications of industry change
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills
- Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills (a TEAM player)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and perform setup tasks throughout the workday
- Must be able to safely operate equipment and follow all safety protocols
