Job Summary
DME Manager responsible for developing and enforcing safety protocols for durable medical equipment in an orthopedic practice, overseeing inventory, data monitoring, and process evaluation; educating new DME coordinators; authorizing intake and distribution of DME; coordinating with equipment technicians and development teams; managing spend and rebate programs; and collaborating with key partners. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 08:00am–05:00pm; position located in Anchorage, AK with no remote work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a clinical discipline (preferred)
- Professional experience in clinical training and knowledge of DME processes and procedures
- Experience in billing and coding
- Familiarity with insurance guidelines and regulations
- Experience managing DME fitting process
- Experience training and educating new durable medical equipment coordinators and associates
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage staff, data monitoring, inventory management, and process improvement
- Willingness to pursue prosthetist or orthotist certification within 18 months of hire
