Job Summary
DME Fitter and Coordinator responsible for fitting and maintaining the DME schedule, coordinating care, and maintaining equipment and supplies; duties include measuring, scheduling, and fitting orthopedic bracing, instructing patients, ordering products, verifying benefits and pre-certification for select products, HIPAA/Medicare/Medicaid compliance, scheduling and educating patients, handling documentation, and collaborating with physicians, staff and vendors to ensure quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Athletic Trainer (pending certification ok)
- Experience working in a DME provider's office, physician’s office, rehab clinic or hospital, or similar role - preferred but not required
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Knowledge of DME protocols is recommended
- Inventory Control Management
