Job Summary
DME Coordinator position at Southlake Orthopaedics (Hoover, AL) responsible for verifying patient insurance benefits and obtaining required authorizations prior to DME delivery, determining payment requirements, and collecting payments. Tasks include dispensing items from inventory, assisting with fittings when needed, scheduling patients in Greenway/Microsoft Outlook for orders or custom items, answering and transferring phones, and ensuring proper stock levels. Requires a high school diploma and comfort with Microsoft Office; prior DME and brace-fitting experience preferred. Monday–Friday schedule; includes comprehensive benefits and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior DME experience preferred
- Orthotic fitter or similar experience preferred
- Prior brace fitting experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Competent in the use of a personal computer and tablet
