Job Summary
Manage the DME program to ensure timely, efficient, and quality service to patients and families. Maintain all DME equipment in a clean, safe, and properly functioning manner while ensuring coverage at all locations. Develop and implement departmental policies, maintain required records and reports, and complete staff performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulatory standards. Develop the departmental budget and manage expenses within established limits.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree
- two years industry-related experience

- equivalent combination of education and experience

- Knowledge of state-of-the-art cast management
- Knowledge of all types of current forms of immobilization
- Knowledge of plaster cast technique

- Knowledge of various anomalies
- Knowledge of orthopedic disease processes

- Knowledge of departmental protocols related to casting
- Skill in effectively educating patients and families on casting topics
- Skill in positive collaborations with physicians
- Skill in positive collaborations with physician assistants
- Skill in providing guidance, instruction, and training to orthopedic technicians
