Job Summary
DLI Lead Teacher position focusing on planning and delivering effective instruction aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and Common Core/Essential Standards. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans and instructional materials, differentiating instruction for diverse learners, ongoing assessment and progress reporting, maintaining classroom management, and collaborating with families and school staff. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an approved education program and NC Teaching License or qualifications to obtain licensure. Emphasizes leadership within the classroom, collaboration with staff to support student learning, adherence to health/safety policies, and commitment to ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an approved education program in subject area
- NC DPI Licensure or qualifications to obtain a NC teaching License
- NC Teaching License in appropriate subject area or have qualifications to obtain a NC teaching License
- Knowledge of North Carolina Standard Course of Study/Common Core and Essential Standards
- Strong background in NC Course of Study/Common Core and Essential Standards
- Ability to develop lesson plans and instructional materials; differentiate instruction; assess student progress; communicate with parents; maintain classroom management
