DJBOSS: General SCADA Technician

Job Summary
Operate and maintain SCADA and BAS systems for power generation, HVAC, and water treatment processes at Camp Lemonnier Naval Base. Install, configure, and calibrate hardware and software including servers, PLCs, and sensors. Troubleshoot system faults, alarms, and communication issues across Ethernet and fiber networks. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, conduct quarterly inspections, and manage cybersecurity protocols. Respond to emergency callouts and support disaster recovery procedures. This role requires 5 years of experience in building computer system maintenance, with specific expertise in Siemens and Honeywell BAS systems. Candidates must be fluent in English and possess a valid passport.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree
- OEM certifications in SCADA/BAS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, Trane, Allen-Bradley)
- OSHA safety training or equivalent
- Cybersecurity awareness training for industrial systems
- 5 years' experience in Operations and Maintenance of building computer and microprocessor-controlled systems
- 2 of the 5 years must have been spent working in direct maintenance of Siemens or Honeywell BAS systems
- minimum of 3 years' experience working in direct maintenance of BAS in large modern commercial or government office buildings
- Proficiency in EasyGen, LS6, Siemens Desigo, Simatic WinCC, Honeywell Niagara
- Strong understanding of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider)
- Familiarity with MODBUS, DNP3, BACnet, TCP/IP, and other protocols
- Ability to read schematics and interpret control logic
- Basic knowledge of Cisco switches, servers, and cybersecurity best practices
- Must be fluent in English
- Must possess a passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
- Must be flexible with work hours
- Must be available for emergency callouts
