DJBOSS: Firefighter/EMT (Fire Inspector)

Job Summary
Conduct fire suppression, EMS, and rescue operations while performing fire prevention inspections and public safety education at Camp Lemonnier Naval Base. Execute fire company training, manage apparatus maintenance, and fill in as a Crew Chief when needed. Obtain and maintain Emergency Medical Responder certification and CPR card as conditions of employment. Serve as a structural, airport, or ARFF firefighter on a scheduled rotation, potentially filling in as a Fire Inspector or Driver Operator. Adhere to DOD, US Navy, NFPA, and local codes during inspections and drills. Maintain physical fitness, neat appearance, and good conduct while obeying supervisor orders and cooperating with fellow firefighters.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard Fire Fighter I & II
- DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard Airport Firefighter
- DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard HazMat Awareness & Operations
- DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard Fire Inspector I & II
- DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard Fire Instructor I
- At least two years of experience as a Fire Inspector
- At least two years of experience as a Firefighter
- Must be fluent in English
- Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
- Must possess driver's license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
- Obtains and maintains Emergency Medical Responder certification
- Obtains and maintains CPR card
