Job Summary
Advocate for clients by analyzing their needs, drafting pleadings, motions, and marital settlement agreements, and representing them in court proceedings or depositions. Communicate with the managing attorney, legal assistant, and paralegal to effectively move through the civil litigation process while producing legal work, attending mediations, and creating litigation strategies. Manage multiple cases simultaneously with excellent planning and prioritization skills. This hybrid role requires three office days per week in Kalamazoo for client meetings and local court appearances. We offer a base salary of $110,000 to $140,000 plus bonus eligibility, a 100% paid benefits package, and a low 1400-hour annual billable requirement. Ideal for independent Michigan-licensed attorneys seeking flexibility and a supportive team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan
- 4+ years of experience in a litigation-centered position
- Excellent courtroom skills
- Research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent planning, prioritization, and time management skills
- Experience managing multiple projects or cases at once
