Job Summary
Lead the day-to-day operations of the plumbing and heating service department by managing technicians, driving sales growth, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Generate sales leads, promote preventative maintenance programs, and prepare estimates and bids for awarded projects. Recruit, hire, and train service personnel while providing ongoing coaching, technical support, and performance evaluations. Manage technician resources, vehicle inventory, and material control systems to maximize productivity and response times. Oversee departmental budgets, financial goals, and profitability while ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry best practices. Resolve customer concerns and coordinate with suppliers to maintain material availability.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in plumbing service management or a combination of relevant education and industry experience
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, hydronics, and service operations
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and customer service abilities
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
