Job Summary
Establish leadership and direction for a team of up to 20 Mortgage and Protection Advisers in East London & Essex offices. Monitor, implement, and evaluate business sales targets to drive revenue and protection sales growth. Recruit, support, and develop advisers by helping them identify lead sources, improve productivity, and increase cross-sales. Ensure robust processes are in place to deliver consistent, high-quality customer service. Act as the champion for the fully protected mortgage concept while collaborating with Training and Compliance teams to develop adviser needs. Work closely with Estate Agency and New Homes Introducers to adopt a joined-up approach to business development.
Required Qualifications
- Industry relevant Professional Qualification (i.e. CeMap or a similar qualification)
- Minimum of 2 years in a Sales Management role
- Experience with Mortgage and Protection Advisers within an estate agency or retail environment
- Excellent level of technical and e-commerce knowledge particularly relevant to the housing and mortgage market
- Experience in leading, motivating and influencing sales people in a customer facing environment
- Results orientated
- Ability to embrace accountability and responsibility
- An excellent knowledge of Financial Services' core products
- Practical understanding of regulatory issues and the impact on each and every sale
- In-depth understanding of Estate Agency business practices
- Expert knowledge of the housing market and mortgage broking best practice
- Working knowledge of how to identify and maximise business opportunities within the estate agency environment
- Working knowledge of legislation impacting on a Financial Services business, specifically a mortgage and protection business
- A good level of technical and e-commerce knowledge in order to train Mortgage and Protection Advisers to promote our services efficiently and effectively
