Job Summary
Senior Divisional Risk Advisor to design and lead Vanguard's Workplace Solutions risk program within ERISA fiduciary standards, collaborating with enterprise risk, legal, compliance, and audit. Build and evolve controls across operations, technology, and client service; provide credible challenge, risk-informed decision making, and executive-ready reporting; partner with senior leaders to advance risk-smart culture and respond to evolving risks in retirement services. Requires eight years of related experience with five years in retirement services risk management, deep ERISA knowledge, and demonstrated ability to influence across a complex organization.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum eight years related work experience in risk management
- At least 5 years of risk management experience within retirement services, trust/custody, or related fiduciary operations
- Deep command of ERISA fiduciary standards, IRS requirements, and DOL oversight
- Hands-on mastery of operational risk frameworks and control assurance (design, testing, monitoring, reporting)
- Strong communication and strategic thinking with ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders
- Curiosity and learning agility; ability to bring external insight into conversations
- Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred (JD, MBA, MS in Risk/Finance)
