Job Summary
Develop the division's operational plan and lead the implementation of enforcement and resolution frameworks for PA-regulated financial institutions. Manage resource allocation, direct PARAC engagements, and oversee sanctions assessment to ensure effective decision-making. Establish strategic direction, coordinate budget and risk management activities, and monitor divisional performance outputs. Manage direct reports while fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and career development. Drive collaboration across departments and assess external developments to align with organizational mandates.
Required Qualifications
- A Postgraduate degree (NQF 8) in Law, Compliance, Risk Management, Finance, Auditing or Accounting, or an equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 10 to 12 years' experience in the financial sector regulation or in a similar environment
- at least five years' experience in a managerial role
- The Financial sector and its key risks and developments, preferably in banking and insurance
- Prudential supervision, regulation and legislation as well as applicable regulatory frameworks
- An understanding of the legal framework and/or best practice regarding financial distress assessment, resolution planning, turnaround or insolvency proceedings
