Job Summary
Divisional Director in our New York office leading business development, client relations, and project leadership for Atelier Ten US. Drive Pursuits, mentor staff, guide technical direction, manage scope and fees with profitability, collaborate on office strategy, and contribute to thought leadership in sustainable design. The role involves bringing in new work, building trusted relationships, supervising projects from concept to completion, ensuring technical excellence, engaging in recruiting and staff development, and traveling to support client work and industry events.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of professional experience in architecture, engineering, environmental design, or a related field, with at least 7 years in a leadership and client-facing role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture, engineering, building science, or a related discipline
- Advanced credentials (e.g., PE, LEED AP, WELL AP) are a plus
- Proven experience in client engagement, business development, and project leadership within architecture, engineering, or environmental design
- Deep technical knowledge in sustainability and building systems, with a track record of delivering high-performance solutions
- Excellent communication skills ranging from presenting to clients, speaking at events, and writing proposals
- A strong industry presence, demonstrated through connections within the design and construction community and thought leadership via speaking, publishing, or teaching
- Ability to maintain a regular leadership presence in the New York office
- Willingness to travel to support client work, business development initiatives, and participation in industry events
