Job Summary

Direct accounting operations, including monthly and quarterly closing processes, account reconciliations, and general ledger sign-offs. Manage invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and financial reporting while overseeing Sarbanes-Oxley compliance certifications and internal control design. Coordinate divisional policies with corporate standards, supervise assigned personnel, and ensure accurate financial statements comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Lead strategic planning with senior management and manage changes in accounting systems to mitigate risk and enhance reporting accuracy.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Minimum of ten years of professional accounting experience
  • At least five years management experience
  • Strong understanding of complex accounting transactions with the ability to analyze same
  • Expertise with standard financial concepts, practices and procedures as demonstrated through relevant work and educational experience
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid skills in utilizing appropriate software application programs to conduct financial analyzes
  • Ability to summarize financial analyzes, along with findings, through verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently, while meeting internal schedules and deadlines
  • Ability to supervise the work of others
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department

Desired Qualifications

  • CPA and public accounting experience
