Job Summary
Division Sales Manager in Pumps leads the division's sales efforts to grow revenue, manages national accounts, develops and implements short- and long-term sales plans, analyzes sales data, recruits and oversees 3-5 sales staff and distributors/OEMs, coordinates with Marketing/Engineering/Purchasing, drafts budgets and sales quotas, and travels up to 50% to drive new business while maintaining customer relationships and ensuring delivery of results.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Business required
- Advanced degree desired
- 5+ years of experience with internal gear pumps, external gear pumps, and positive displacement pumps for the OEM and process market
- One to three years experience in management and five to seven years related sales/pump experience is required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is also required
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to lead, persuade and motivate
