Job Summary
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department to ensure smooth functioning and goals are achieved. Review reports from managers and team members to assess performance, identify improvement areas, and conduct evaluations. Establish communication with other departments to coordinate efforts and solve problems. Provide coaching and counseling to employees, manage staffing needs including hiring and training, and enforce organizational policies regarding conduct and ethics. Develop and implement departmental policies, monitor financial performance, and apply strong leadership skills to drive efficiency. Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm, with flexibility required as job assignments may change. Requires a Bachelor's degree in business management or related field, plus 10+ years of progressive construction management experience and 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business management, Business Administration, or related field
- Equivalent combination of education and construction management experience
- 10+ years of progressive construction management experience
- 5+ years in a senior leadership or management role overseeing multiple projects
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and profit and loss management
- Advanced knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, estimating, and project controls
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Must be able to sit at a desk and/or computer for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working in the trades (Electrical, HVAC and/or Plumbing)
- Certification through the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM)
