Division Manager - Night Operations - Liberty (Reno)

Job Summary
Oversee all After-Hours division operations, deploying resources to meet customer demands and ensuring seamless handoffs with day-shift leadership. Serve as the primary decision-maker for time-sensitive service failures, carrier issues, and escalations while developing and reporting Key Performance Indicators. Build relationships with core and spot carriers to secure volume and negotiate rates, ensuring capacity is properly vetted for all loads. Develop monthly business plans to forecast production and identify opportunities to expand existing accounts during night shift coverage. Manage team dynamics, conduct performance reviews, and build a scalable staffing plan to support division growth. This role requires availability for overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. Bachelor's degree in business or logistics preferred with 5+ years in transportation brokerage operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field
- 5+ years minimum experience in transportation
- Experience in managing people
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Proven ability to make sound, independent decisions under pressure with minimal oversight
- Working knowledge of TMS platforms and load-tracking/visibility tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to work overnight/After-Hours shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred
- Training/certification or equivalent experience may be substituted
- 5+ years minimum experience in transportation, a focus on brokerage operations preferred
- ITS experience may be substituted for the years of experience
- Experience in logistics sales or carrier relations preferred
- Proactive train and educate all team members
