Job Summary
Division Financial Analyst responsibilities include assisting in feasibility modeling for land and finance, preparing quarterly forecasts and annual plans, consolidating budget submissions from multiple departments, performing budget analysis and overhead benchmarking, generating reports and analyses for management including variance and operational metrics, preparing monthly journal entries and maintaining general ledger reconciliations, coordinating work with National Shared Services, and maintaining documentation for the division’s SOX binders. Required qualifications emphasize a Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting (CPA preferred), and at least 3 years of accounting experience with strong GAAP knowledge and communication skills. The role involves onsite attendance five days a week at the Carmel, Indiana office and includes corporate finance duties within a Fortune 500 homebuilding company context.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent in related field)
- Certified Public Accounting license (active or inactive) preferred
- Related Functional Experience: Minimum 3 years public and/or corporate accounting experience
- Good analytical skills
- Good knowledge of GAAP and financial reports
- Good verbal and written communication skills
