Job Summary
Oversee division accounting operations, managing month-end and year-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet support. Prepare monthly financial statements, review accounts payable and vendor payments, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies. Partner with operations leaders to analyze costs, margins, and business performance while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking. Supervise and mentor accounting staff to build process consistency and accountability. Identify process improvement opportunities to strengthen reporting, efficiency, and profitability. Assist with intercompany allocations, chart of accounts maintenance, and audit documentation. This fully on-site role in Hazelwood, Missouri, offers strong compensation and benefits for a candidate with an accounting degree and 5+ years of progressive experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Stable work history with demonstrated career progression
- Location: This is a fully on-site position based in Hazelwood, Missouri
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred
- Strong experience with financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls
- Prior leadership or team oversight experience strongly preferred
- Experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or another operationally intensive environment preferred
- Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
- ERP experience preferred
- CPA or CMA is a plus
