Job Summary
Division Controller role responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, policy development, and monthly close. Owns month-end close, general ledger reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, and ensuring GAAP compliance. Drives accounting software selection and implementation, and partners with operations, product, and engineering to design policies for new features, as well as manage audit and tax strategies. Requires a Bachelor's in accounting/related field with 8+ years of leadership experience; CPA and/or Big 4 background preferred. Remote-based position with a compensation range of $120K-$140K plus a 15% bonus; offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for rapid growth in a fast-moving, two-sided marketplace within the pet-care industry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive accounting leadership
- CPA and/or Big 4 background preferred
- experience with digital marketplace platforms
- GAAP compliance experience
- experience leading teams and cross-functional collaboration
- strong Excel skills
- experience with budgeting/forecasting
- knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition
- ERP experience and ability to drive ERP enhancements
