Job Summary
Manage customer relationships by monitoring project progress, developing new accounts, and attending jobsite meetings to resolve issues. Prepare accurate bids by obtaining construction plans, interpreting specifications, and negotiating awarded projects while coordinating with vendors for competitive pricing. Maintain strong vendor relationships, track billing and margins, and participate in physical inventories to support sales objectives. Travel as needed and stay current on building codes and industry standards through ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in a construction-related environment
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Strong math aptitude
- Familiarity with industry-specific software
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Knowledge of commercial door and hardware products and building code requirements
