Diving Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on E-UBA systems, EC-UBA systems, Diving Life Support Systems, and associated support equipment including SCUBA tanks, regulators, compressors, and communications gear. Manage inventory accountability and personal property records within government systems by processing requests, conducting monthly and annual inventories, and investigating missing or damaged property. Develop technical training for E-UBA maintenance qualification programs and support delivery of maintenance and operator training to Naval Special Warfare personnel. Maintain access and current certifications necessary to manage inventory and ensure compliance with Navy, NAVSEA, and NSW maintenance management requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Navy Dive School Certified (NEC 5342 / M1DV, USCG OPSDC, or higher)
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as a certified 5342 / M1DV, USCG OPSDC, or higher diver
- Minimum three (3) years of Naval Special Warfare (NSW) experience
- MK-16 Maintenance Technician qualification
- MK-25 Maintenance Technician qualification
- Qualified as a Maintenance and Material Management (3M) Maintenance Person
- Qualified as a 3M Quality Assurance Craftsman
- Qualified as a 3M Work Center Supervisor
- Qualified in accordance with NAVEDTRA 43910-(Series)
- Factory-trained certification for diving equipment maintained within assigned inventory
- Diving Life Support Systems (DLSS) Re-Entry Control (REC) Supervisor qualification
- Oxygen Clean System Worker certification
- Experience maintaining Diving Life Support Systems (DLSS), E-UBA systems, EC-UBA systems, mixed-gas systems, compressors, charging systems, communications equipment, and associated support equipment
- Experience supporting inventory accountability and personal property management using ELMS, DPAS, APSR, or comparable government accountability systems
- Forklift certification up to 6,000-pound capacity
- Strong troubleshooting, maintenance management, inventory accountability, database management, and technical documentation skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal formats
- Secret clearance
- U.S. citizen
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to obtain and maintain installation access
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in warehouses, maintenance facilities, piers, vessels, and operational maritime environments
- Travel and conduct training, maintenance, inspections, inventories, and operational support activities at CONUS and OCONUS locations
- Ability to work safely around lithium battery systems, oxygen systems, diving equipment, compressed gas systems, and specialized underwater technologies
