Job Summary
Plan and conduct diving practices in alignment with the Head Swimming & Diving Coach, providing technical instruction and individualized feedback for 1m and 3m springboard divers. Assist with meet preparation, competition coaching, and travel as needed while supporting recruiting efforts through communication with prospective student-athletes. Promote a positive team culture emphasizing accountability, sportsmanship, and academic success, and assist with program operations including equipment management and meet support. This part-time role begins Fall 2026 with flexible hours to accommodate the candidate's availability, offering a seasonal stipend. The University of Saint Joseph seeks a candidate with competitive diving experience and prior coaching experience to help develop its NCAA Division III diving program.
Required Qualifications
- Competitive diving experience
- Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends during the season
- Commitment to NCAA Division III philosophy
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification
- Willingness to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certification
Desired Qualifications
- Competitive diving experience (collegiate preferred)
