Diversional Therapist

Job Summary
Lead and deliver a therapeutic recreation programme for seniors in a care village; plan and run individual and group activities that promote dignity, independence, and social engagement; collaborate with care-team to extend activities across the village; monitor and report resident progress and maintain activity records; manage monthly activity programme budgets with approval from the Village Manager; role is permanent full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rotating roster; requires National Certificate in Diversional Therapy (Level 4) or at least 3 years of relevant experience; must have First Aid or be willing to complete, valid driver’s licence and ability to drive a Mobility Van; skills include planning, time management, strong communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- National Certificate in Diversional Therapy (Level 4) – or at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to complete a two-day course)
- A full, clean driver’s licence & ability to drive a Mobility Van.
