Job Summary
Speech Therapist-Cert w/ ASHA in Fayette County Public Schools provides speech-language pathology services to students under IEP goals in the educational setting. Responsibilities include screening, assessment, developing and implementing therapy plans, coordinating materials, supporting ARC meetings, providing consultation to school personnel on communication needs (including AAC), maintaining documentation and data/records, and ensuring Medicaid billing processes are completed timely. Requires Master’s in Communication Disorders, Kentucky DOE certification for teachers of exceptional children in S&CD, and ASHA CCC. 1.0 FTE salaried position in Fayette County Schools, Lexington, KY with standard duties and 189-day calendar.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders
- Kentucky Department of Education Certificate for Teachers of Exceptional Children—Speech and Communication Disorders, Grades K-12
- Certificate for Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
