Job Summary
Assist certified teachers in implementing instructional practices, maintaining a safe and supportive instructional environment, and collaborating with school staff to ensure high-quality instruction for students with special needs. Support health-related procedures and daily living activities as required, maintain student records and attendance, help administer and monitor IEPs, and contribute to data collection and progress reporting. Perform routine clerical tasks, support behavior plans and classroom management, and communicate effectively with students, families, and professionals to promote inclusive learning and student success.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 48 college credit hours or successful completion of the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment or completion of an Associate's Degree
- Experience working with youth in an organized setting and some instructional experience in a classroom environment working with children and parents with special needs, multi-cultural and multi-ethnic backgrounds.
